Rev. Dr. Marie-Clemence Ulcena was born in Port-au-Prince, and she is a long-standing member of the Pentecostal Church of Fisher of Men. She joined Evangelical Crusade of Fisher of Men in Brooklyn in 1983 and was a member in good standing. After moving to Long Island, Rev. Ulcena joined the Long Island church. Soon after, she was ordained as a deacon. She fulfilled this task for sixteen years and was ordained as a pastor in 2016. She was an assistant pastor for four years before she became the church’s lead pastor.
Rev. Dr. Marie-Clemence Ulcena graduated from Borough of Manhattan Community College with an associate degree in nursing and started working at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn. When she moved to Long Island in 1991, she attended Stony Brook University, obtained her bachelor’s degree in science. 2 years later, she was accepted into the Master’s in Science program and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She received her Nurse Practitioner degree and became a Certified Nurse Practitioner a year later. She studied theology at (Institut De Theologie – Cours Bibliques En Ligne) from 2009 to 2011 in French. She obtained her Master’s in Divinity at Lexington Theological Seminary in 2021, and a Doctorate in Ministry with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling at Liberty University in 2023.
Rev. Dr. Marie-Clemence Ulcena has a passion for learning and teaching. She wrote two books: La Foi and Women of the Bible.
Dr. Ulcena and her husband of 50 years, Jean Michel Ulcena, have four children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is a mother to everyone who meets her.
